June 1984. <br />6. Committee Reports <br />a. Budget & Finance <br />1) 1985 Budget <br />Ms. Kiemnec read a memo from Mr. Michael L. Vance, City <br />Controller, which indicated that the city will not be able to <br />fund our request for 1985 (see Appendix B). <br />Ms. Kiemnec requested a meeting with the Budget Committee to <br />discuss the County Budget for 1985. <br />b. Historic Districts <br />1) Lincolnway East Historic District - Report <br />Mrs. Choitz reported that the Lincolnway East Historic <br />District passed the Common Council unanimously on June 11, <br />1984. <br />2) 601 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that South Bend Heritage is working with <br />the owners and the city to arrange moving of the house. A <br />request for official permission to do so will be presented in <br />July. <br />c. Historic Landmarks <br />1) Second Reading for Landmark Designation for 227 Scott Street <br />Mrs. Choitz made a motion that the Commission recommend 227 <br />Scott Street to the Common Council for landmark designation; <br />Mr. Newburn seconded; motion passed. <br />2) Facade Easement Report <br />Mr. Oxian read a letter from the Commission's attorney, Mr. <br />Kevin Butler, concerning the Commission's accepting of facade <br />
