5 2) Industrial Buildings Project Ms. Kiemnec reported that Mr. Wallar has completed research on all but the Studebaker complex, is writing up drafts of the criteria sheets on all the factories, and is working on the overall history and methodology. Mr. Wallar's time and funding will run out on June 8, 1984. Since the project will not be completed at that time and because she and Mrs. Sporleder feel that a slide/tape presentation to promote the project to the community would be appropriate, Ms. Kiemnec asked permission to apply for additional funding for a 10 to 12 week period over the summer. She has gotten a verbal commitment from two funding sources and will approach another. Mr. Newburn made a motion that Ms. Kiemnec continue to pursue the additional grant funding; Mr. Nimtz seconded; motion passed. 3) Preservation Plan Ms. Straw reported that the Landmarks Procedure Chapter is ready to receive a final review by the Landmarks Committee and the Districts Procedure Chapter is almost ready for final review. She is also working on the Endangered and Scarce Buildings Chapter. 7. Old Business a. Mayor's Conference Ms. Kiemnec reported that the conference was quite successful; 70 people participated and the conference was kicked off by the mayor who delivered a resolution declaring Preservation Week locally. b. 1985 Grant for Administrative Assistant Ms. Kiemnec reported that on April 18 the Commission was awarded a grant from the State Historic Preservation Office for $9,500 to continue funding in 1985 for the Administrative Assistant Position. 8. New Business a. Grant application Ms. Kiemnec reported that she had been approachditf by Ms. Leslie Choitz of Southhold Restorations to be a part of a grant application to the Apple Computer Company. The company is taking applications from groups of 3 to 5 non-profit organizations which
