• <br />the Studebaker Clubhouse and Trees had been submitted to the <br />State Division of Historic Preservation on February 23, 1984 <br />and should be before the July Review Board Meeting. <br />h. Executive Committee Report <br />1) Personnel Contracts <br />Mrs. Sporleder indicated that the Executive Committee had <br />reviewed contracts for Ms. Kiemnec, Ms. Straw, and Mr. <br />Wallar. Mr. Oxian made a motion to change Ms. Kiemnec's <br />title from Preservation Planner to Director; Mr'. Beatty <br />seconded; motion passed. The Commission discussed whether <br />the Director's position can be made a county position. Mr. <br />Hayes made a motion that the Commission direct its attorney, <br />Mr. Butler, to discuss with the Board of County Commissioners <br />whether or not the Director's position can be made a county <br />position and report back to the Commission as to his findings <br />and as to whether or not the current arrangement is in <br />violation of any IRS regulations; Mr. Newburn seconded; <br />motion carried; Mr. Oxian voted nay. <br />• 7. Old Business <br />a. Mayor's Conference <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the grant requested for the Mayor's <br />Conference has been awarded. <br />b. School Field <br />Ms. Kiemnec read a request from the School Administration to have <br />the Commission help them to research School Field. Mr. Hayes <br />made a motion to have Ms. Straw, the Commission's Administrative <br />Assistant, allot 20 hours to work with the School Administration <br />on School Field; Mrs. DeLaruelle seconded; motion passed. <br />c. Committee Appointments <br />Ms. Kiemnec distributed a Committee Appointment sheet and a <br />Certificate of Appropriateness Committee Schedule (see Appendix <br />D). <br />8. New Business <br />a. Old Plat Books <br />Ms. Straw reported that the Portage Assessor's Office has nine <br />• old Plat Books dating to before 1935. They may be willing to <br />have them transferred to our office if we will be willing to <br />
