Public Relations & Community Education <br />Mrs. Sporleder asked that the Public Relations & Community <br />Education Committee look Into publishing a brochure on the <br />Industrial Buildings Project. <br />f. Environmental Impact Statement <br />1) 740 Bronson <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that a Certificate of Appropriateness <br />was approved for 740 Bronson on Friday, December 7, 1984 when <br />the owner, Mr. Ron Farr met with'the C. of A. Committee. The <br />owner will construct a screened -in porch In the south corner <br />of his rear yard. <br />2) 757 Lincolnway East <br />Mrs. Sporleder read a letter from Mr. Bili McCarthy, the <br />owner of 757 Lincolnway East (see Appendix D) in which he <br />requested the Commission's support for his proposal to vacate <br />the alley next to his property. The Commission directed Ms. <br />Klemnec to write a letter to Mr. McCarthy Indicating that it <br />opposes vacation of the alley until provisions can be made <br />for access by the neighbors and emergency vehicles. A copy <br />will be sent to the Board of Public Works. <br />g. Staff Report <br />1) Preservation Plan <br />Ms. Straw distributed the revised bound copies of the <br />Preservation Plan. <br />h. Personnel Committee <br />Mrs. Sporleder reported that the Personnel Committee had met and <br />would forward comments to Ms. Kiemnec and Ms. Straw by the middle <br />of the week of December 17, 1984. <br />7. Old Business <br />a. 519 N. Michigan <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that she and Ms. Straw had inspected the <br />house at 519 N. Michigan Street and found It to be In very good <br />condition with all of its Interior architecture Intact. South <br />Bend Heritage has 75 days to try to market the building to be <br />N <br />
