Call to Order <br />ROOM 1123 COUNTY CITY BUILDING <br />M I N U T E S south bend, indiana 46601 (219 284-9798) <br />Third Floor Conference Room <br />County/City Building <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:55 p.m. <br />2. Roll Call <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. John Oxian, Mrs. Martha Choitz, Mrs. Gina <br />DeLaruelle, Mr. Charlie Hayes, Mr. Odell Newburn, <br />Ms. Karen Kiemnec, and Ms. Elizabeth Straw. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Michael Beatty, Mrs. Joann Sporleder, Mr. F. <br />Jay Nimtz, and Mrs. Janeanne Petrass. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Carol Schaal, South Bend Tribune Reporter. <br />• 3. Approval of Minutes <br />Mr. Newburn made a motion to approve the October 15, 1984 minutes as <br />mailed; Mrs. Choitz seconded; motion passed. <br />4. Treasurer's Report <br />Mrs. Choitz made a motion to spend any funds left over in the 1984 <br />budget on secretarial help for the office; Mr. Newburn seconded; <br />motion carried. Mr. Hayes made a motion to approve the Treasurers <br />Report as sent; Mrs. DeLaruelle seconded; motion carried. <br />5. Correspondence <br />a. A letter from the National Trust on their Preservation Advocate <br />program. <br />b. A gift shop portfolio from the Strong Museum. <br />c. A letter from the State Division of Historic Preservation stating <br />that the Union Station has been determined eligible for the <br />National Register but will not be listed because of owner <br />objection. <br />d. A brochure from the Urban Land Institute. <br />• e. A brochure from Southhold Restorations, Inc. on their Historic <br />Holiday Getaway weekend. <br />
