C <br />Downtown Technical Advisory Committee. The Committee was <br />organized to develop a plan for the enhancement and. <br />revitalization of the Central Business District. <br />7. Old Business <br />Mrs. Sporleder reported that Ms. Kiemnec has been selected to <br />participate in the South Bend/Mishawaka Area Chamber of Commerce <br />Leadership Training Program. She has received scholarships for a <br />portion of the tuition fee. Mrs. Sporleder suggested that the <br />Commission pay for $50 toward the tuition. Mrs. Choitz made a motion <br />to that effect; Mr. Nimtz seconded; motion passed. <br />8. New Business <br />a. Main Street VideoConference <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported on the Videoconference which will be brought <br />Into South Bend by Southhold Restorations and HLFI. It will be <br />presented by the National Trust on September 18 at the Continuing <br />Education Center at Notre Dame. The registration is $25. Mr. <br />Nimtz made a motion that the HPC pay for Ms. Kiemnec's <br />registration for the conference; Mrs. Choitz seconded; motion <br />10 passed. <br />b. Registration of Landmark Ordinances <br />Mr. Oxian reported that he had Inquired into recording our <br />landmark ordinances with the Recorder's Office. The cost will <br />most likely be $4 each,* The Commission asked that Mr. Oxian <br />inquire into the matter further, investigate funding <br />possibilities,. and then report back to the Commission for action. <br />*'$1.50 for each separate sheet thereafter." <br />c. Time Limit on Certificates of Appropriateness <br />Mr. Oxian suggested that the Commission adopt a policy on time <br />limits for Certificates of Appropriateness. The Commission <br />suggested that the matter be referred to Mr. Kevin Butler. <br />9. Hearing of Visitors <br />No Report <br />10. Announcements 8 MIscellaneous Matters <br />A motion was made for adjournment; the meeting was adjourned at 9:34 <br />p.m. <br />0 <br />
