Budget & Finance <br />1) County Budget <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the proposed County Budget for 1984 with no <br />increases was passed. <br />2) Community Development Funding <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that although the Commission had directed her to seek <br />funds for a secretary, such efforts were unsuccessful with the city budget <br />so she attended the August 17th meeting to obtain informat_ion'on possible <br />Communi-ty Development Funding. The H.U.D. guidelines seem to preclude using <br />the funds for a secretary so Ms. Kiemnec prepared a proposal for an adminis- <br />trative assistant to.the Preservation Planner (see Appendix A). Mr. Nimtz <br />made a motion that the HPC request of'Community Development an allocation <br />of funds to hire an administrative assistant to complete the projects the <br />Commission is currently working on or to work on projects planned for the <br />future. Mrs. Sporleder seconded; motion passed. Mrs. Choitz voted nay. <br />3) Appropr i at ion. of =Funds <br />Ms. Kiemnec announced that in order to pay the'Research Assistant, Ms. Straw, <br />out of the Small Town Survey Account, -the County Council must appropriate <br />the funds. When the grant funds are received, the Small Town Survey Account <br />will be reimbursed. First and Second Reading will be held on the matter <br />on September 21 at the Council's Meeting. <br />b., Historic Districts <br />1) Report on Seebert Court <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that she and Mrs.- Sporleder met with Craig Hartzer, <br />the Mayor's Administrative Assistant; Neil Shanahan from the City Engineer's <br />office; Mr. Frickson, and Mr. Levy, Seebert Court residents. The City will <br />replace a 6" sewer pipe with a 12" one. They will take out the 72' parkway <br />and streetlamp to put in the sewer but will replace the streetlight and a <br />parkway that is 312'to 4' and 13 bushes. Neil also agreed to put in place the <br />electrical facilities for a streetlight at the other end. <br />c. Historic Districts <br />1) 52228 Gumwood <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the rescission of landmark status for the house <br />at 52228 Gumwood Road will be up for First Reading on September 21. The <br />Commission agreed that Mr. Oxian and Mrs. Sporleder.will make a presenta- <br />tion for the Council's Committee Meeting and the Public Hearing. <br />d. Legal <br />l) Report on the County Ordinance Amendment <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that -the Amendment will be up for First Reading with the <br />County Council on September 21. <br />e.. Public Relations & Community Education - no report <br />f. Environmental Impact Statement <br />
