Budget & Finance 1) County Budget Ms. Kiemnec reported that the proposed County Budget for 1984 with no increases was passed. 2) Community Development Funding Ms. Kiemnec reported that although the Commission had directed her to seek funds for a secretary, such efforts were unsuccessful with the city budget so she attended the August 17th meeting to obtain informat_ion'on possible Communi-ty Development Funding. The H.U.D. guidelines seem to preclude using the funds for a secretary so Ms. Kiemnec prepared a proposal for an adminis- trative assistant to.the Preservation Planner (see Appendix A). Mr. Nimtz made a motion that the HPC request of'Community Development an allocation of funds to hire an administrative assistant to complete the projects the Commission is currently working on or to work on projects planned for the future. Mrs. Sporleder seconded; motion passed. Mrs. Choitz voted nay. 3) Appropr i at ion. of =Funds Ms. Kiemnec announced that in order to pay the'Research Assistant, Ms. Straw, out of the Small Town Survey Account, -the County Council must appropriate the funds. When the grant funds are received, the Small Town Survey Account will be reimbursed. First and Second Reading will be held on the matter on September 21 at the Council's Meeting. b., Historic Districts 1) Report on Seebert Court Ms. Kiemnec reported that she and Mrs.- Sporleder met with Craig Hartzer, the Mayor's Administrative Assistant; Neil Shanahan from the City Engineer's office; Mr. Frickson, and Mr. Levy, Seebert Court residents. The City will replace a 6" sewer pipe with a 12" one. They will take out the 72' parkway and streetlamp to put in the sewer but will replace the streetlight and a parkway that is 312'to 4' and 13 bushes. Neil also agreed to put in place the electrical facilities for a streetlight at the other end. c. Historic Districts 1) 52228 Gumwood Ms. Kiemnec reported that the rescission of landmark status for the house at 52228 Gumwood Road will be up for First Reading on September 21. The Commission agreed that Mr. Oxian and Mrs. Sporleder.will make a presenta- tion for the Council's Committee Meeting and the Public Hearing. d. Legal l) Report on the County Ordinance Amendment Ms. Kiemnec reported that -the Amendment will be up for First Reading with the County Council on September 21. e..
