Environmental Impact Statement <br />1) Report on fence - 507 River Avenue <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that in regard to the Commission's question at <br />its October meeting about the fence at 507 River Avenue and whether or <br />not it violated other city codes, she checked and it did not. <br />2) .66984 Pine Road <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that she had issued a Certificate of Appropriateness <br />for a new roof at 66984 Pine Road. 'The roof willbecovered with <br />fiberglass shingles which look like asphalt shingles. <br />3) 935 South Ironwood <br />The three owners presented the final site plan (dated November 14, 1983), <br />which was approved by the Area Plan Commission on November 15, 1983. <br />Mr. Oxian made a motion to deny the Certificate of Appropriateness <br />for the project because of the removal of a tree, the excessive width <br />of the driveway, the closing of the alley, and the fence along the <br />alley. He asked that a letter to that effect be sent with copies to <br />the City Engineer, the Area Plan Commission, the.Common Council <br />President and the Council's attorney.- Mrs. Choitz seconded, motion <br />passed. <br />g. Staff Report <br />1) Multiple Resource Area <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that she has met with two additional M.R.A. <br />building owners and their response was favorable. She is preparing a <br />mailing to owners in the West Washington Historic District who will also <br />be in the M.R.A. <br />7. Old Business <br />a. School Field <br />Mrs. Sporleder reported that she and Ms. Kiemnec had surveyed School Field <br />They felt it was not significant architecturally and reported that the <br />north stands were in poor condition. Mr. Wasielewski made a motion to do <br />further historical research on the stadium and that a consultant be hired to <br />do so; Mr. Oxian seconded. Motion passed; Mrs. Sporleder abstained; Mr. <br />Hayes voted no. Mr. Wasielewski indicated that he would look into funding <br />possibilities for the project. <br />8. New Business <br />a. New Secretary <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that Peg Fakelman had left her position as HPC <br />secretary for a .full time job. She asked that the Commission approve the <br />hiring of Mrs. June Hoffman for a contract which will expire on December 31, <br />1983. Mrs. Sporleder so moved; Mrs. DeLaruelle seconded; motion passed., <br />
