Historic Districts <br />Elaine Heaton of the Edgewater Place Neighborhood Association questioned why <br />a Liaison Committee member was being appointed rather than elected as a replace- <br />ment for Chuck.Martin. The Commission explained the Amendment to the Election <br />Procedures as stated in Appendix A of the December 13, 1982 minutes. Margaret <br />DeBoer of 552 River Avenue is the new appointment to the Liaison Committee. <br />Lorie Frey, the new president of the neighborhood association, asked for a <br />closer working relationship between the Association, the Liaison Committee, <br />and the.Historic Preservation Commission. The two women also suggested that <br />since the Edgewater Place Historic District Standards state that guidelines be <br />reviewed and updated two years after adoption and more than that amount of time <br />has elapsed, something should be done to begin the review process. <br />1) Historic Districts Committee <br />Mrs. Choitz, as chairperson of the Committee, called a meeting of the Com- <br />mittee for April. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at 19110 Summers Drive. <br />c. Historic Landmarks <br />1) 702 S. Michigan <br />Mr. Oxian announced that the rating on the building has been changed from <br />C/10 to S/11 and he has received a consent form from the owners for land- <br />mark status. First Reading for landmark designation of the Goodwill Building <br />at 702 S. Michigan was held. <br />
