_April 26, 1982 Page 4 4) Pierce Road Improvements Ms. Kiemnec reported on a request from McDonough Associates for a statement on historic buildings which would be affected by the Pierce Road Improvements. She A ndicated that the two structures most affected would be the Madison Union Chapel and the house at 10128. She read the reply (Appendix E) she had written. Mrs. Sporleder made a motion to accept the report; Mr. Nimtz seconded; motion carried. g. Staff Report 1 ) Report on Summary Report Ms. Kiemnec reported that 82 books had been sold, 50 had been distributed to other government agencies, local organizations, etc. and approximately 64 remain. She gave printing costs of $1179 for 100 and $1557 for 200 for a second printing at Schillings which was the best estimate of the five companies consulted. She had spoken to Mr. Jasinski, the President of the County Commissioners, and Mr. John - Lentz, the Chief Deputy Auditor, and they. will allow the Commission to use the money put in the County General Fund from the sale of the Summary Report. Mr. Oxian made a motion that the Summary Report be taken to Schillings for a second printing�&fr200 copies; ,Mr. Nimtz seconded;, =motion carried. 2) Report on Progress of Small Town Survey Ms. Kiemnec- reported that field work on St. Mary's Campus has begun and the St. Mary's Intern is progressing well with her research. 3) Report on Preservation Tax Incentives Conference - held off till next meeting. h. Historic Preservation Commission Photographs Ms. Kiemnec requested the use of Commission photographs -for the Architectural Guidebook she is working on with Mr. Stamper, Ms. Choitz, and Mr. Mullins. Mr. Hayes made a motion to allow Ms. Kiemnec to use the photographs provided the Historic Preservation Commission is credited under each photo used; Mr. Nimtz seconded; motion carried. 9.
