Mr. Oxian withdrew his motion. <br />Mr. Oxian stated that he would also be nominating 62290 Miami <br />Road for landmark status at the next Commission meeting. <br />It was agreed that Ted Waseilewski would invite Gaylen Allsop to <br />attend the November Commission meeting to report on his progress in <br />drafting recommended ordinance changes. Mrs. Price requested that <br />she be named to the Legal Committee. Mr. Wasielewski said he <br />Mould talk with Mr. Nimtz about it. <br />Public Relations and Community Education <br />Mrs.Sporleder.reported.that on Saturday, Oct. 25, 1980, she <br />will conduct ,a bus tour of St. Joseph County for a continuing <br />education class at IUSB. <br />Environmental Impact Statement <br />• Mr. Stamper read a letter addressed to Mr. Billy Hanki,ns,Director <br />of the St. Joseph County Parks. The letter concerned the proposed <br />expansion of the Spicer Lake County Park. 'It stated there would be <br />no impact on any historic sites or structures by the project. The <br />letter was written the previous week and had been approved by the <br />Executive .Committee. <br />Presidential Report <br />Mr. Wasielewski congratulated Mr. Stamper on passing Phase 1 of <br />the architectural liscensing exam. <br />Staff Report <br />None <br />7. Old Business <br />None <br />8. New Business <br />Mrs. Price reported on pending legislation regarding owner consent for <br />inclusion on the National Register. She stated that it is important that <br />I this amendment not be passed. <br />• Mr. Oxian reported on his experiences at the National Trust Convention <br />stating that South Bend has, on a percentage basis, more landmark <br />
