County City Building <br />M I N U T E S <br />1. Call to Order: T. Wasielewski, President, called the meeting to order <br />at 7:45 P.M. <br />2. Roll Call <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Ted Wasielewski., Mr. John Oxian, Mr. Charles Hayes, <br />Mrs. Joann Sporleder, Mrs. Ruth Price, Mr. John Appleton. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: F. Jay Nimtz, Odell Newburn, David Reinke <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. John Stamper, Preservation Planner; Ms. Jeanne De:rbeck., <br />0 Hannah Moore <br />3• Approval of Minutes <br />Mr. Oxian moved that September minutes be approved and Mr. John Appleton <br />seconded the motion. The motion was carried. <br />4. Treasurer's Report <br />Mrs. Price moved for approval of the Treasurer's Report. Mr. Oxian <br />seconded the motion. The motion was carried. <br />5• Correspondence <br />John Stamper read correspondence from Ted Merrick, assistant to the <br />president of Landmarks Planning, Inc., regarding a request for information <br />on buildings in South Bend which may be potential rehabilitation projects. <br />The Commission suggested sending copies of the survey cards of the <br />Studebaker buildings, the Odd Fellows Building, the Bendix Estate and <br />buildings on the East Race. It was also suggested that a copy of <br />Mr. Merrick's letter be sent to Mayor Parent's office. <br />6. Committee Reports <br />John Stamper reported that approximately 20 histories remained to be <br />• completed, and that nearly 100 had been written in the last month by <br />himself, Jeanette Burkett and Sylvia Gillis. By the next Commission <br />meeting all histories should be done and the draft of the inventory <br />catalog should be finished also. <br />
