November 17, 1980
Page 5
An easement can be given, however, to the County or the City.
If this were done we would have to be sure that we could have
control.
Mr. Oxian went on to point out two unanswered questions: first,
how will the preservation standards be enforced if an owner
doesn't maintain the facade; second, what happens if the or-
ganization holding the easement is dissolved? Also the Com-
mission has not yet approached the County Auditor's Office
about the matter.
Mr. Wasielewski reiterated that the Commission is still in the
investigation stage of facade easements, but that we will procede
with 720 W. Colfax.
9. Announcements and Miscellaneous Matters
No Report
10. Hearing of Visitors
Various questions were entertained from the visitors (Notre
Dame Law School Class) on the functions and effectiveness of
the Historic Preservation Commission.
1 1 . Adjournment
Motion to adjourn was made by Ruth Price and seconded by
Charles Hayes.
Adjournment was at 9:20 pm.
.7
