Edgewater Place <br />Mr. Stamper reported on the April 8th Edgewater Place organi- <br />zation meeting which he, Mrs. Price and Mr. Oxian attended. <br />Mr. Stamper explained to the organization about rezoning the <br />area along Lincolnway East from Commercial to "B" Residential <br />and he stated that the Redevelopment Commission would support <br />such a move. Mr. Oxian stated that another alternative would <br />be to rezone only the houses and leave the existing commercial <br />properties zoned commercial. <br />The organization decided to study the alternatives and to <br />discuss the issue further at their next meeting_ <br />The Commission instructed Mr. Stamper to talk with developer, <br />Phillip Panzica about further design proposals if Mr. Panzica <br />contacts the office. <br />City Survey Summary Report <br />Mrs. Price reported on the recommendations for historic districts <br />as agreed upon in recent meetings of the district's committee: <br />St. Adalberts, Notre Dame Ave., Rum Village, St. Casmir's, <br />Indiana Street, River Park, Walnut Grove, Sunnymede, Altgeld/ <br />Victoria Street. <br />Mr. Stamper stated that copies of the recommendations have been <br />distributed to the Redevelopment Commission, Community Development, <br />Area Plan Commission, Mayor's office and the building commissioner. <br />Historic Landmarks <br />The first reading was held for landmark designation of 52407 Grape <br />Road. The owner has given his consent for the designation. This <br />will be included in the next meeting. <br />Former County Schoolhouses <br />Mr. Oxian stated that there are 8 schoolhousesand one church <br />whose owners have been contacted regarding landmark by resolution. <br />He stated that one owner has responded affirmatively. Mr. Oxian <br />moved that designation of these buildings be approved pending <br />response from the owners. Mr. Nimtz seconded the motion. The <br />motion was carried. <br />
