March 16, 1981 <br />Page 4 <br />Committee Reposts (cont.) <br />Legal <br />A. Mrs. Price reported that the proposed ordinance amendments <br />have been submitted to the Common Council. <br />Public Relations and Community Education <br />A. Mrs. Price reported on the preparations for the Preservation <br />Week Celebration. There will be a one night gathering in the <br />lobby of the County/City Building with exhibits and activities <br />of each organization. Mrs. Price suggested that the Commission <br />set up a table exhibit with copies of the Survey Inventory <br />Catalogue. <br />Staff Report <br />A. Mr. Stamper informed the Commission that the DNR has approved <br />our application for a $4000 grant to survey the small towns <br />of St. Joseph County. The project must be completed by <br />August 31., 1982. <br />B. Mr. Stamper introduced the Commission's new secretary, Pam Chadwick. <br />5. Approval of Minutes <br />Mr. Oxian moved that the February minutes be approved. Mr. Wasielewski <br />�- seconded the motion and the motion passed pending vote of the absent <br />members. <br />6. Treasurer's Report <br />A. Mr. Stamper reported that the Commission has paid $58.00 <br />to Business Communications Systems for a typewriter repair <br />contract. <br />B. Mr. Oxian moved that the Treasurer's Report be accepted. <br />Mr. Wasielewski seconded the motion and it was passed <br />pending the vote of the absent members. <br />7. Old Business <br />None <br />8. New Business <br />A. Mr. Oxian moved that Gaylen Allsop be asked to draft a <br />procedure for reviewinq certificates of appropriateness <br />and that this procedure follow or be similar to that <br />adopted in the District of Columbia (see "Landmark and <br />Historic District Commissions", Sept. 1980, Vol. VI, No. 4). <br />
