Call to Order: President, Ruth Price called the meeting to order <br />at 7:40 P.M. <br />2. Roll Call <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Ruth Price, John Oxian, Charles Hayes, F.J. Nimtz, <br />Odell Newburn <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Ted Wasielewski, David Reinke, Joann Sporleder, Jack Smith <br />ALSO PRESENT: John Stamper, Preservation Planner, Jeanette Burkett, <br />Research Assistant, and Jeanne Derbeck, South Bend Tribune. <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br />Mr. Oxian noted a correction was needed for January 19th's minutes. <br />On page 3 under Public Relations and Community Education, "Northern" <br />should be deleted from Indiana Historical Society. <br />Mr. Nimtz made a motion to accept the minutes with the correction. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Newburn, and the motion was carried by <br />the Commission. <br />4. Treasurer's Report <br />Mr. Stamper reported on two expenditures for this month: Mr. Stamper's <br />monthly salary and expenses for photography and printing. Mr. Newburn <br />made the motion to accept the report, Mr. Nimtz seconded. The report <br />was unanimously approved. <br />Due to Mr. Appleton stepping down from the Commission, the Treasurer's <br />post was left vacant. Mrs. Price moved to vote in a new treasurer. <br />Mr. Nimtz nominated Mr. Newburn, Mr. Oxian seconded. The motion was <br />unanimously approved. <br />5. Correspondence <br />Mr. Stamper presented the following correspondence: <br />A. A notice concerning the National Conference of State Historic <br />Preservation Officers in Washington, D.C. on March 9th. <br />
