County/City Building <br />M I N U T E S <br />1.'I'Call to Order: Vice President, John Oxian, called the meeting to order <br />at 7:45 P.M. <br />llmw a] <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: John Appleton, Odell Newburn, F.J. Ni.mtz, John Oxian, <br />Ruth Price, Joann Sporleder, Ted Wasielewski. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Charles Hayes, David Reinke <br />ALSO PRESENT: John Stamper, Preservation Planner, Jeanette Burkett, <br />Research Assistant. <br />Is <br />GUEST SPEAKER: Gaylen Allsop, Attorney <br />VISITORS: Melba Lawson of Rural Route 2, Box 41, Walkerton, IN. 46574. <br />3. Approval of minutes <br />John Oxian stated that a correction should be made on page 4 of the <br />November 17, 1980 minutes under new business, second paragraph, last <br />sentence; "easement" procedure should be used instead of "ordinance" <br />procedure. Ruth Price made the motion to amend and accept the minutes, <br />F.J. Nimtz seconded. The motion carried. <br />4. Treasurer's Report <br />Ruth Price made a motion to approve the Nov. 24th report, and the <br />Dec. 15th report was approved pending a final copy which will be sent <br />out with the minutes. F. J. Nimtz seconded. The motion carried. It <br />was suggested by John Oxian that all money remaining in the budget should <br />be spent. The Commission gave consent to John Stamper to encumber the <br />remaining money for printing or suppliet expenses. <br />5. Correspondence <br />John Stamper presented a memo on log structures, preservation and <br />problem -solving from the American Association on state and local history. <br />
