New Business <br />Mrs, 8pmrleder presented a discussion on the possibility of declaring <br />the Union Station a national landmark. Mr. Ox}an stated that the Union <br />Station was already declared a local landmark. He moved that it be reviewed <br />for the natfonal register, seconded by Mrs. Price, the motion carried. <br />Mrs. Spor/ader opened discussion on the proceedure for declaring landmarks <br />in New Carlisle and other small communtlj*mas, Mrs. Sporlader felt that <br />smaller communities be brought into Commission activities, <br />Mr. DxYan suggested that wooded areas in the city be brought to the attention <br />of the Park Dept., in particular that by Prairie and Locust Roads, Mrs, <br />Price stated this can be effectively reviewed by the Nature Conservancy. <br />Mrs. Price stated a Memorandum of Understanding with the Advisory Council <br />should be studied. She also discussed the issue of the City Cemetery fence. <br />What are the currant plans for lLY Mrs. Price moved, seconded by Mrs. 8porleder <br />that a letter be sent to Mr. Mullen, requesting information on the recommendation <br />-~~ for the fence.
