Bill Brown expressed an interest, <br />but preferred to defer it to the new board which would be elected <br />in January. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Wasielewski, seconded and approved to <br />draw up a contract between Jeann Denham and the Commission to pay <br />her $100.00 for services, materials and .publishing costs incur- <br />red to print the Bibliography of Published Studies of South Bend, <br />200 copies, to be completed by January 30th, 1979. <br />John Oxian had the Auto Tour Map corrected and four more pictures <br />added. A new plate was made and the map reprinted for $351.00. <br />Environmental Impact Statement <br />No report <br />Presidential Report <br />Mr. Wasielewski thanked Candy Peck 'For her services to the Com- <br />mission for the year. He appointed Jerry Kline as chairperson of <br />the Nominating Committee with F. JFy Nimtz and Tim Eckerle as <br />members, to prepare a slate of officers for the election to be <br />held at, our first re;ularly scheduled meeting in January. He <br />th3nked all members of the Commission for their work and help <br />this past year. <br />There was an inconclusive discussion of what could be done about <br />totally inactive members. <br />Staff Report <br />Mr. Nimtz moved that ''as soon as the money is available, we renew <br />our subscription to the National Trust.'' Seconded by Mrs. Spor- <br />leder, passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Oxian made a motion that we buy a book called ''The House <br />Research Guide,'' by Brownstone Biographies, seconded by Mr. <br />Nimtz and passed unanimously. <br />Old Business <br />Mrs. Sporleder expressed appreciation to Candy and Trudi for get- <br />ting the minutes down to a readable size, and suggested that some <br />system be instituted to file, reference and cross reference the <br />minutes, especially the resolutions, so that important information <br />is easily retrievable. <br />New Business <br />Ms. Peck suggested someone should go to the seminar on the Tax <br />Reform Act held in Cincinnati in April.
