November 20, 1978 <br />Page 2 <br />Mrs. Price moved that the Commission allocate $1,138.45 from the <br />County budget to cover the costs to be incurred in 1978 and that <br />the Commission set up a meeting to allocate the funds for the <br />Preservation Plan Publication and to make a firm commitment at that <br />time. Mrs. Sporleder seconded. All voted in favor. <br />Mr. Oxian made a motion that Certificates be published and sent to <br />all owners on record of Landmarks established under ordinance and <br />resolutions when funds are available. Mrs. Price seconded. All <br />voted in favor. <br />1178 5. Correspondence <br />A letter was sent to Mr. Crumlish concerning his correcting and add- <br />ing to the Auto Tour map, and asking permission of Crumlish/Sporleder <br />& Associates to reprint the Auto Tour. Map as they owned the copy- <br />right. <br />A contract was drafted up between the Commission and Mrs. Robert <br />Denham for her work for us between October 23, 1978 and December <br />31, 1978• <br />We received a thank -you letter from Mr. Ken Geoffroy, Chairman <br />of the Board of the National Association for Humanities Education, <br />for contributing our time at their October conference in South Bend. <br />. 1178 6. Committee Reports <br />City Survey <br />No Report <br />Budget and Finance <br />No Report <br />Historic Districts and Standards <br />Mrs. Price announced a meeting between the Commission, South- <br />old Heritage Foundation, Inc., and City Officials on Wednes- <br />day, December 6, 1978, concerning the West Washington National <br />Historic District. <br />Ms. Peck was to again to speak with the people in Edgewater <br />Place concerning an historic district. <br />Historic Landmarks <br />Mr. Oxian announced the success of the Landmark Plaque Cere- <br />mony. Several landmark owners expressed interest in forming <br />a landmark homeowners organization. <br />Mr. Wasielewski suggested that their survey forms be sent to <br />all landmark owners. <br />
