October 23, 1978 <br />Page 2 <br />- A thank -you note came from Mr. James Cook, of Anchor <br />46 Realty, for information we sent to him concerning the history <br />of 110-112 South Taylor. <br />- A letter was sent to Phil Crone, St. Joseph County Council - <br />Land Use Committee - concerning the slide presentations ac- <br />companying landmark hearings. <br />- The City Survey results for the ironwood Corridor from Jeffer- <br />son to Ewing were sent to Ten Ech Environmental Consultants, <br />Louisville, Kentucky. <br />1078 6. Committee Reports <br />City Survey <br />No report. <br />Budget and Finance <br />A financial report was given with suggestions of special projects <br />that could be undertaken before the end of the fiscal year. <br />Mrs. Price made a motion that we ask Jeanne Denham to come back <br />to work for the Commission to specifically help Candy prepare <br />• presentations on the Schambleau and Maps of the City's Growth <br />project. Mr. Oxian seconded. All voted in favor. <br />Mr. Oxian made a motion to allocate $453.73 for the purchase <br />of Landmark plaques. Mr. Wasielewski seconded. All voted in <br />favor. <br />Mr. Oxian made a motion that Mr. Wasielewski should write a <br />letter offering the City names of consultants, their credentials, <br />and fees who might be of assistance to do revitalization and de- <br />velopment schemes for the East Race project area. Mrs. Price <br />seconded. All voted in favor. <br />Historic Districts <br />Ms. Peck made a motion that the Commission hire Brian Crumlish <br />to do sketches for the West North Shore Drive Historic District <br />publication and the layout for a fee of $150.00, and that the <br />Commission allocate another $150.00 for the printing of the <br />publication. Mrs. Price seconded. All voted in favor. <br />Mr. Wasielewski requested a meeting with our Historic Districts <br />Committee and The Edgewater Place Historic Committee before the <br />next regular Commission meeting. <br />s <br />
