January 31, 1977 <br />Page 5 <br />Legal <br />(1) Ms. Kopezynski then informed the Commission that she <br />has been designated. as the Historic Preservation Co- — <br />ordinator by Jon Hunt, Deputy Director of the Human Re- <br />sourses Department of the City of South Bend in a letter <br />dated 28 January 1977 to Jerry L. Rogers, Acting Chief - <br />Office of Archeology and Historic Preservation, National <br />Park Service, Department of the interior. <br />(2) Under this appointment she would be responsible for <br />assisting the community development program in preparation <br />of the historic portions of the environmental review under <br />Sect. 570.603 of the HUD Regulations. <br />(3) She will be responsible for formulation of reports, <br />pending final approval of the Commission. <br />Mr. F. Jay Nimtz informed the Commission that the suit of <br />Walter Rinderle against the Commission has been re -set for <br />February 17, at 10:00 a.m., in the Small Claims Court. <br />City Survey <br />Mr. Ted Wasielewski then informed the Commission that the <br />document which is the agreement between the Historic Pre- <br />servation Commission and Crumlish/Sporleder & Associates <br />for the City Survey would be signed this evening. Mr. F. <br />Jay Nimtz was shown this agreement and remarked that it was <br />very clear and outlined exactly what was to be done. The <br />work is to start as soon as possible after this agreement <br />has been entered into. Mr. Wasielewski then made a motion <br />that this contract be signed. Mr. Nimtz seconded this motion <br />and it passed unanimously. The document, thereupon, was duly <br />signed by members of the Commission and Brian Crumlish re- — <br />presenting the firm. Mr. Wasielewski then said that the Com- <br />mittee would be meeting with Mr. CrLmfUsh and would be work- <br />ing very closely with the Historic Preservation Planner, in <br />carrying out the guidelines. He likewise informed the Com- <br />mission that the City Survey committee would continue to <br />serve. <br />7. O1d.Business <br />Mr. Smith reminded the Commission that he had accepted the resig- <br />nation of Ms. Joann Sporleder as Architectural Historian at the <br />December meeting, and that the Commission, therefore, must think <br />about naming a replacement to the Commission and evaluate some of <br />the names that have been offered. He said he hoped the Planner <br />would contact the possible replacemtns and. have a report at the <br />next meeting. <br />
