Hearing of Visitors Mr. Kline said he was interested and very gratified in hearing the remarks of Ms. Davisson in the correction of the Minutes earlier in the meeting regarding neighborhoods. He then said he would like the Commission to consider a statement or a stance concerning a proposal, actually a petition, which had been pre- pared by Jack Dunfee, Jr. requesting that a particular area be rezoned from A and B residential to B residential. Mr. Kline passed around the map showing the area in question and a copy of the petition. The area is within the North East Neighborhood Council area and on the fringe of the "North Shore Triangle" and Harter Heights, and is on the south side of East North Shore Drive adjoining the St. Joseph River. The petitioner is the South Bend Heart Surgery, Inc. who have hopes of conducting a clinic on that site. Mr. Kline informed the Commission that a number of neighborhood associations plan remonstrance activities to this petition. Ms. Kopczynski said this petition is going — before the Area Plan Commission and is on the agenda for the Novem- ber 16th meeting. Mr. Smith suggested that this matter be referred to the Historic Districts Committee, and Mr. Oxian concurred in — this suggestion. It was further suggested that perhaps the chair- man of the Public Relations and Education Committee should be checked on this matter. It was voiced that there wasn't very much time before this petition would be on the agenda of the Area Plan Commission meeting. 10. Announcements and Miscellaneous Matters There were no announcements at this time. 31. Adjournment Mr. Russell Rothermel moved that the meeting be adjourned. It was seconded.by Mr. F.
