June 21, 1976 <br />Page 2 <br />Plexi -glassed for use in the office. She said it would pro- <br />bably cost about $30.00 to have this done. She then asked <br />approval to have two photographs framed for the Area Plan <br />Commission. This would entail an expenditure of about $60.00. <br />Mr. Oxian made a motion that these expenditures be approved. <br />Mr. Stivers seconded this motion and it passed unanimously.' <br />5. Correspondence <br />Mr. Smith stated that he had received a letter from Walter <br />Rinderle regarding his employment with the Commission. This <br />letter was turned over to Mr. Nimtz for drafting a reply. <br />Mr. Smith then read a letter from Mr. Jack Dunfee regarding <br />his fee for services to the Commission. Mr. Nimtz moved that <br />the president be authorized to discuss the payment of the bill <br />to Jack Dunfee on the basis of either the payment of $300.00 <br />now or $300.00 next year or the payment of $600. this year <br />with the understanding that he will perform any services for <br />the remainder of the year. Mr. Oxian seconded this motion and <br />it passed unanimously. <br />Ms. Gilbert then mentioned that letters had been sent to Crum--- <br />lish/Sporleder, Ruth Price of Southhold, and Carl Doozan thank- <br />ing <br />hanking them for their assistance in the work done on the Auto Tour <br />Map and reception. <br />Letters and Auto Tour Maps were also sent to governmental of- <br />ficials and preservation officials. A number of these were ac: -Z <br />knowledged and this correspondence was referred for filing. <br />Ms. Gilbert then stated that the homeowners of superior structures <br />whose home were included on the Auto Tour Map and who did not come <br />to the reception were sent letters and a copy of the map. <br />6. Committee Reports <br />Budget and Finance <br />Mr. Oxian gave a report on the 1977 budgets. He stated that <br />he had asked for $10,000 from the city and $11,425.08 from <br />the county. He stated that both budgets were submitted to <br />the appropriate offices. <br />Historic Districts <br />There was no report from this committee. However, Mr. Ted <br />Wasielewski passed out a letter he had drafted to the City <br />Engineer regarding the proposed widening of Chapin Street <br />(Appendix A). He asked Commission recommendations and changes <br />for this letter. <br />
