He then said <br />that funding for the research assistant and the secre- <br />tary might end June 30th, and that, since both persons <br />were greatly needed, the Commission should decide now. <br />on committing the funds for the rest of the year if <br />they were needed. Mr. Oxian remarked that perhaps some <br />of the money now in the budget for the survey could be <br />earmarked for these staff positions. However, he said <br />that he would check with CETA to see if the funds could <br />continue. Mr. Rinderle then said that information on <br />the 700 -County Survey cards was being transferred to the_ <br />State Forms in order to qualify for the grant.- Mrs. - <br />Sporleder questioned the need of transferring all 700,in- <br />ventoried structures and felt that perhaps the state <br />would want only the 70 or so superior structures. Mr. <br />Rinderle said the state had asked for the entire survey, <br />but he would abk Mr. Cloud again. <br />Mr. Smith then introduced the newly appointed Commission <br />member, Mr. Theodore Wasielewski, who was appointed by <br />the Common Council to replace Mrs. Christyne Woolridge - <br />who had resigned. Mr. Wasielewski spoke about his back- <br />ground and what Texas was doing to preserve its heritage. <br />Mr. Catanzarite informed the Commission that Mr. Al <br />Stivers had been re -appointed for a new term by the <br />County Council. <br />7. Old Business <br />Community Development Funds <br />Plaques <br />The proposal for these funds has been submitted and the <br />hearing will take place on March 4th. <br />Mrs. Gilbert submitted a condensed version of the text <br />which could be used on the size plaque decided upon. Mr. <br />Oxian is to contact home owners of designated historic <br />landmarks. <br />National Park Service Grant <br />This has already been covered earlier in the meeting. <br />Annual Report <br />There was a general discussion on this issue and Mr. <br />Smith remarked that perhaps in lieu of an annual report - <br />a brochure could be printed showing auto tours of county- <br />
