November 10, 1975 <br />Page 2 <br />of the year should not be spent "for spendings sake" and such <br />balance will revert to the General Fund to be used for increases <br />in County employee's salaries. <br />Then Ms. Davisson submitted the following bills for approval <br />for payment: $5.13 to Walter Rinderle for office supplies; <br />$5.97 in postage chages for October; $3.75 in duplicating <br />changes for October; $2.16 to Office Engineers for poster <br />board•, and $16.78 to Business Systems also for office supplies. <br />Mr. Rothermel made a motion that these bills be approved for <br />payment. Mr. Nimtz seconded this motion and it passed unani- <br />mously. <br />5. Correspondence <br />Mrs. Gilbert stated that renewal applications for membership <br />in the Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, and the Nation- <br />al Trust for Historic Preservation had been -received. A motion <br />was. made by Mr. Nimtz that membership in these two organizations <br />be continued. It was seconded by Mr. Oxian and passed unanimously. <br />A letter was read from Geri Decker, Director of the Architectural <br />Library at Notre Dame asking for a list of some of the more out- <br />standing houses which the Commission found ifi- its survey. Ms. <br />Davisson asked about a communication from the Center for Civil <br />Rights and the League of Women Voters regarding forthcoming <br />meetings on zoning. This communication had been received -and it -- <br />was decided to send zeroxed copies to each of the Commission mem- <br />bers. A letter from the Heritage Hill Foundation in Grand Rapids <br />was received regarding a tour of their historic district was sub- <br />mitted. After discussion, it was suggested that plans should be <br />made to visit this site. <br />6. Committee Reports <br />Budget and Finance <br />There was no report from this committee <br />Legal <br />The committee reported that the Amendment to the Ordinance <br />was pending in.Area Plan Commission. <br />Historic Districts <br />There was no report from this committee <br />Historic Landmarks <br />It was reported that this committee had not met since the <br />last time.. Mr. Oxian stated that the four homes that were <br />proposed for historic landmark designation s=teat to Area Plan <br />I Commission and they are due for the first reading before the <br />City and County Council. A fifth home is in the process of <br />being proposed. <br />
