Michigan City still would like to
know exactly what the Commission has in mind before they
estimate possible costs.
Annual Report
Mr. Stivers read a list of accomplishments of the Historic —
Preservation Commission over the past year which Ms. Schler-
eth had gleaned from past minutes. Mr. Oxian added that —
Commission members had attended two conferences. Ms. Schler-
eth suggested that an 82tt x 10" sheet of paper, folded into
thirds, be used, along with sketches of the four landmarks
which the County Commissioners approved by resolution. There
was some discussion on who should receive a copy of the an-
nual report. Mr. Smith noted that there
has been no action on these resolutions and suggested they
be tabled. Ms. Schlereth urged that they be given serious
consideration since they have been pending for several
months and the Commission was still operating without any
official procedure. Ms. Sporleder said that the procedure
for designating an historical landmark is cumbersome.
After some discussion, it was decided that the districts
