May 28, 1975
Page 2
Special Meeting to resolve this discrepancy. The amount.,-
for
mount, for 11 weeks, would be $26+.00. Since the Commission ap-
proved $250.00 for Ms. Mullin's services, this was only
$1+.00 above that amount. Mr. Nimtz moved that this agree-
ment to pay 30% be approved, subject to the County Commis-
sioners' approval of Ms. Mullin's inclusion under Workman's
Compensation. Ms. Davisson seconded the motion and it was
passed unanimously.
It was decided that Ms. Schlereth, and later, Ms. McMahon,
be authorized as agent to sign Ms. Mal.lin's payroll time
sheets. It was further discussed that she work with the
Historic Landmarks Committee in the capacity of Research
Assistant.
4. Discussion of Neighborhood Preservation Workshops
A brochure from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development, announcing a series of workshops, was passed
around to Commission members. The nearest workshop is to
be held in Chicago on June 16th and 17th. No Commission
member expressed any intention of attending.
5. Discussion of letters from Brian Crumlish
Mr. Oxian read a letter to the Commission which Brian Crum-
lish wrote to the Commission, dated May 28, 1975, regarding
the County Survey. There were two slight changes from pre-
vious discussions with Mr. Crumlish and the Executive Com -
mittee: 1. Mr. Crumlish is aiming for an August 1 comple-
tion date, but the proposal reads completion by September lst.
2. Crumlish/Sporleder will bring in the Cleveland consultant
for only two (2) meetings. Any additional trips would have to
be funded by the Commission at a rate of $200. per day plus -
expenses. Mr. Nimtz moved that the Commission accept the pro-
visions outlined and directed the Executive Secretary to pre-
pare a letter for Mr. Smith's signature to Crumlish/Sporleder
informing them of the acceptance of their proposal. Mr. Ro-
thermel seconded the motion. Messrs. Rothermel, Nimtz, Ox-
ian, and Stivers and Ms. Davisson voted aye. Ms. Sporleder
abstained.
Mr. Oxian next read a letter from Brian Crumlish to Mr. Wil-
liam Hojnacki, dated May 28, 1975, in regard to the City
Survey. Mr. Rothermel moved that it be sent to Mr. Hojnacki.
He also moved that copies of both letters be sent to the
Common Council and the letter regarding the County Survey be
sent to Mr. Hojnaeki. Mr. Stivers seconded this motion. The
motion was passed with Ms. Sporleder abstaining.
It was then decided to call a Special Meeting for the Commis-
sion to meet with Mr. Gaede, the consultant from Cleveland,
