Mr. Crumlish conclued his talk with'an explanation of the application procedure for the National Register, and Mr. Oxian thanked him for coming. 7. Committee Reports Budget and Finance It was reported that the City Budget which was sent with a covering letter to Walter Lantz, deputy controller, was re- turned and another letter drafted to the Mayor with the re- quest that funds could come either through the City Budget or through revenue sharing funds. Mr. Nimtz discussed the procedure of submitting the budget to the mayor. Ms. Schlereth brought up the point of earmarking $3,780.00 for administrative secretary/research'assistant services.' She felt that since we were asking $4,000.00 from the City for these services, we should also bring the County amount up to $4,000.00. Mr. Oxian stated that he'didn't want to ask more than a 5% increase over last year; and bringing the amount up to $4,000. would mean a $400. increase. He felt he would like to ask even more from the City but not from the County. A discussion ensued as -to the pros -and cons of asking for equal amounts from the City and the'County on a par with the salary already being funded by the County through C.E.T.A funds. Ms. Sporleder moved that the 1975`budget for -- the County be increased to $4,000.00 for the Assistant's ser- vices and Mr. Rothermel seconded this motion. It'was put -to a vote and Ms. Davisson, Mr. Nimtz, Mr. Rothermel, Ms. Spor- leder and Mr. Stivers voted aye. Mr. Oxian abstained from the voting. Ordinance Committee Mr. Nimtz was not prepared to report on the preparation of the ordinances. He will be able to report either next month or the month after that. He stated that the operating ordi- nance must be straightened out and he will try to have it ready by the next meeting. Ms. Sporleder voiced a desire to be in on some of the discussions. Landmarks Committee Mr. Rothermel reported that Ms. Sporleder had met with Brian Crumlish and Don Sporleder on the nomination and survey forms as had been presented by Mr. Crumlish.
