Hearing of Visitors <br />Ms. Ann Jones, Curator of the new Century Center; intro- <br />duced herself and Dr. Marie Ritter who is the co -ordinator - <br />of Discovery -Hall. She gave the Commission a copy of "Dis- <br />covery Hall - A Visual Presentation," and spoke about the, <br />work now in progress. Dr. Ritter suggested that there be <br />worked out some co-operative arrangements between Discovery <br />Hall and the Historic Preservation Commission. She dis- <br />cussed the goals of Discovery Hall which would incorporate`' <br />a visual history of the industrial and technical aspects of <br />South Bend as well as a center of information and a data bank. <br />10. Announcements and Miscellaneous Matters <br />Ms. Davisson mentioned that the Art History students at - <br />Notre Dame did term papers on abort twelve outstanding land- <br />marks. She suggested that having copies of these papers <br />might be beneficial to the Commission. <br />Mr. Smith commented that the Commission had no communication <br />with the Bicentennial Committee and.he would like Gwen Stivers <br />invited back in order to generate some co-operation between <br />that committee and the Historic Preservation Commission. <br />11. Adjournment <br />Mr. F. Jay Nimtz moved that the meeting be adjourned and -- <br />Mr. Oxian seconded it.
