December 8, 1975 <br />Page 4 <br />members suggested that eight more copies be made and <br />-offered to -the public:--Mr.-Oxian made -a motion that <br />these copies be made; Ms. Sporleder seconded this motion <br />and it passed unanimously. <br />The Consultant then informed the Commission that he would <br />like to.inform the realtors in South Bend of the superior <br />structures. They might advertise them as such when sold <br />and this might encourage persons interested in historic <br />homes to buy and maintain them. <br />Mr. Rinderle then discussed notification of various de- <br />partments when terms of Commission members expire. He - <br />suggested, to avoid controversy in thefuture, that per- <br />haps it committee could draft a form letter. No action was <br />taken in this.regard. <br />7. Old Business <br />Community.Development Funds <br />Mr. F. Jay Nimtz remarked .that there would be no action <br />on this until theladministration comes in. <br />new <br />Annual Report <br />Mrs. Gilbert reported that Mr. Al Stivers had not come to <br />the office to pick up material that could be used in put- <br />ting together the Annual Report. It was suggested that <br />perhaps she and Walter Rinderle could work on this project. <br />No action was taken in this area. <br />National Park Service - Historic Preservation Grant <br />This has already been discussed. <br />8. New.Business <br />Mr. Smith mentioned that the Commission has to fill two. - <br />positions for 1976: that of Consultant and Research Assis- <br />taut. Mr. Smith said that he and Dick Johnson interviewed <br />Mrs. Tobi Christianson and have scheduled three more in <br />terviews for Wednesday, Dec. 10. A discussion followed as <br />to the best procedure for interviewing these candidates. <br />Mr. F. Jay Nimtz then made a motion that the executive - <br />officers as well as Joanne Sporleder be authorized to inter- <br />view and select the CETA candidate and the Consultant for <br />the next calendar year. Mr. Oxi.an seconded this motion and <br />it passed unanimously. <br />Ms. Sporleder then distributed copies of "How to Look at <br />Your Town," compiled by the Historic Landmarks Foundation <br />of Indiana. <br />A <br />
