existing structures <br />style buildings within the area may generally be classified <br />within two broad groups: those which can be, by,. <br />total stylistic continuity, associated with the major, <br />popular building styles of the 19th and early 20th <br />Century; and those which have no strong stylistic <br />affiliation but derive their character from the mode <br />of building current during the time they were built. <br />as such these buildings derive a character, integrity <br />and style of their own which we could call late 19th, <br />early 20th Century midwestern domestic urban residen- <br />tial. the buildings in the first category with some <br />exceptions may be.associated with these popular and <br />important residential styles: <br />greek revival <br />
