Time and Place <br />It was moved, seconded, and unanimously voted to hold regular meetings <br />of the Commission on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. win the <br />County -City Building. <br />6. Leqal Advice <br />Mr. F. Jay Nimtz consented to give legal advice to the Commission in <br />matters of its operation and proceedings. <br />7. 'Assistance <br />The president ordered: <br />a. Mr. Rothermel to visit with the Area Plan Commission to seek <br />and beg assistance in providing necessary forms needed .in the <br />Commission's operations -- a suggested format for a form, <br />"Application for Certificate of Appropriateness, and secretarial <br />services. <br />b. Mrs. Davisson to visit with the School of Architecture, University <br />..of Notre Dame, to seek assistance of students for surveys of <br />districts and to provide intern program experiences when appropriate. <br />8. Bylaws <br />The president. appointed John Oxian and -F. Jay Nimtz as a committee to <br />prepare a statement of bylaws for consideration'at the next meeting of the <br />Commission. Mr. Nimtz, chairman. <br />9. Letter to Southhold Restorations,.lnc. _ <br />The president ordered the secretary to write a letter.to Southhold <br />Restorations, Inc., thanking it for inviting Commission members to attend <br />the Historic Districts' Conference in Oak Park, Illinois on Saturday, <br />February 9, and for paying the conference fee for each attendant from the <br />Commission. Also, Southhold Restorations, Inc. are to be invited to avail <br />itself of the powers and work of the Commission to foster and to achieve a <br />cooperative attainment of common objectives in our community. <br />A motion was made, seconded and passed to ask Southhold Restorations, .Inc. <br />to make available to the Commission the report of the district surveys it has <br />made to date and any resulting action or recommendations. (Copy included with_ <br />minutes.) <br />-10. Park Avenue Association <br />The president asked Mr. F. Jay Nimtz to approach the Park Avenue Associ- <br />ation seeking its cooperation.and support of the Commission in its efforts <br />to reach objectives and goals. For example, the Association might want to <br />IT- sponsor a trip to see historic districts and landmarks in other cities such <br />as Grand Rapids or Indianapolis. <br />11.
