We <br />also completed the third phase of Nimtz <br />Parkway and have made the intersection <br />improvements at Bendix and Nimtz. <br />In the Sample -Ewing Development Area, <br />the staff completed approximately 184 <br />acquisitions, 83 relocations, and 87 <br />demolitions. We handled the disposition <br />of 9 parcels of land: Charles Hayes, <br />Inc., Practico Construction, Hydronic & <br />Steam Equipment, Design Packaging, <br />Midwest Machine, Champion Soft <br />Water, expansion of New Hope Baptist <br />j Church, Parkview Juvenile Facility, and <br />Heritage Homes Southeast. Construction <br />of the 57 unit Heritage Homes Southease <br />is nearly complete and is partially <br />rented. We also completed the move <br />and rehab of two houses in the Sample - <br />Ewing Development Area. <br />In the South Bend Central Development <br />Area we saw the opening of the College <br />Football Hall of Fame; worked with <br />CCA and the Mansur Group on <br />downtown strategy; the Morris Fund <br />Drive has over $4 million in pledges for <br />renovation and expansion of the Morris <br />Performing Arts Center; sold the land <br />for the GSA building at Main and <br />Western; improved the alley adjacent to <br />the new Macri Deli in the East Bank; <br />saw the grand opening of Central High <br />School Apartments. <br />In addition, Tom Eddington has <br />performed more than 175 design reviews <br />Is, <br />-5- <br />
