NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />1. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Affidavit related <br />to Mechanic's Lien for the Monroe Park <br />Apartments project. <br />m. Commission authorization requested to Me <br />petition to vacate right -of -way in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that there is a dead -end <br />alley between Carroll and Michigan Street <br />north of Ohio. The alley is located in <br />Disposition Parcel 34 which the Commission <br />has up for bid. We would like authorization <br />to petition for vacation of this alley. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hcjnacki, seconded <br />by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission authorized the petition to <br />vacate right -of -way in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mrs. Kolata reported that the staff is working <br />with several developers on projects that we hope <br />to bring before the Commission at the next <br />meeting. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that the College Football Hall <br />of Fame will be opening on August 25. <br />Mrs. Kolata acknowledged the sudden passing of <br />Charlie Minkler, Director of MACOG, whose <br />vision for the community was the inspiration for <br />-10- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE AFFIDAVIT <br />RELATED TO MECHANIC'S LIEN FOR <br />MONROE PARK APARTMENTS PROJECT <br />COMMISSION AUTHORIZED THE PETITION <br />TO VACATE RIGHT -OF -WAY IN THE <br />SAMPLE -EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />PROGRESS REPORTS <br />
