Most of these <br />efforts have been started and have seen <br />some progress. <br />The long term action agenda for the <br />Housing Committee includes: support a <br />home ownership program aimed at <br />tenants; target areas for intensive house <br />rehabilitation (NHS and HDC are <br />surveying the neighborhood to determine <br />their interest in working in the <br />neighborhood.); and write a manual of <br />property maintenance guidelines for <br />property owners. <br />Patty Huettl, Director of the Rum Village <br />Partnership Center, noted that the <br />neighborhood association is in transition, <br />developing new leadership and skills to <br />carry out this plan. Their goals over the <br />next 18 months include to finalize their <br />501(c)(3) status, revising their bylaws, <br />developing a work plan for the remainder <br />of 1995 and then for 1996, developing a <br />three -year budget, and planning a <br />fundraising campaign for new play <br />equipment for Rum Village Park. Again, <br />many of these initiatives have been <br />started. <br />Longer term, the neighborhood <br />association wants to publish a <br />neighborhood handbook, expand the <br />Partnership Center service area, and apply <br />c a <br />
