C <br />South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - May 19, 1995 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />m. continued... <br />our property, and we have received <br />permission from the owner to test those <br />wells. The new proposal would include the <br />testing, at a cost of $2,870 for a total of <br />$3,420.00. Staff recommends the <br />Commission accept the EIS proposal. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Hojnacki and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposal from EIS <br />Environmental Engineers for professional <br />services in the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area. <br />n. Receipt of Bids for Re-use of Property in <br />the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. (122 S. Michigan Street) <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that as of 9:52 this <br />morning, we have one proposal for the 122 <br />S. Michigan Street site. This building was <br />put up for lease. The minimum lease <br />amount was $6,650.00 per year. We have <br />received a bid from Center City Associates, <br />Inc. to lease the building for 15 years at an <br />annual amount of $7,200.00. They have <br />submitted a check in the amount of $720.00, <br />which is 10 % of one year's lease amount. <br />The Commission requested 10% of the <br />whole 15 year lease term, but that difference <br />can be worked out later. <br />Center City Associates plans to develop <br />122 S. Michigan to create an active retail <br />facility that will enhance the Hall of Fame <br />and help interaction between the hall and <br />-17- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL <br />FROM EIS ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERS <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE <br />SAMPLE -SWING DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />
