NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />f. continued ... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, <br />seconded by Mr. Donoho and <br />unanimously carried, the Commission <br />approved the Proposal from Pitcock <br />Design Group for professional services <br />in the Airport Economic Development <br />Area. <br />g. Commission approval requested for <br />Lease with Burkhart Advertising, Inc. <br />for property at 916 South Michigan <br />Street in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that Burkhart <br />Advertising has a billboard located <br />ILbetween Midas and Main Muffler on a <br />piece of property that Burkhart also <br />owns. As part of our negotiations to buy <br />that lot from Burkhart, they asked that <br />we try to find a replacement location for <br />the billboard. The lot it will be moved <br />to is just north of Pleasureland Museum. <br />The term of the lease is ten years, <br />beginning June 1, 1995. Burkhart will <br />pay $600 per year in rent. One of the <br />provisions of the lease gives us the right <br />to terminate the lease upon 30 days <br />notice. This lot, along with the property <br />where Pleasureland Museum is located, <br />will be offered for disposition with the <br />billboard on the lot. If a potential <br />developer refuses to have it there, we <br />will have the right to terminate the lease. <br />However, if we do that within the first <br />-14- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL <br />FROM PITCOCK DESIGN GROUP FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE AIRPORT <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />
