Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1330 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 2740 <br />Viridian Drive in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area (Communication Test <br />Design) <br />Mr. Beitzinger read the staff report on the <br />project. Communication lost Design is in <br />the business of repair, assembly and storage <br />of electronic equipment. Their project calls <br />for a 40,800 square foot addition to their <br />existing 20,000 square foot building, and <br />renovation of the existing office areas. The <br />building expansion will consolidate several <br />operations into one location. Additionally, <br />new space will be utilized for equipment <br />movement and installation in controlled <br />environment vaults for Ameritech and <br />storage of over 1,000 pallets of specialized <br />electronic equipment for Ameritech. The <br />total cost of the building expansion is <br />estimated at $1,232,000. <br />Per the petition, it is estimated that this <br />project will create a total of sixteen (16) <br />new permanent full-time jobs in the first <br />year, representing an annual payroll of <br />$321,600 and will maintain fifty -nine (59) <br />existing permanent full-time and no <br />part-time jobs with an annual payroll of <br />$1,700,000. <br />Communication 'kst Design has not been <br />granted any previous tax abatement <br />consideration. The property is properly <br />zoned for the proposed use. The property is <br />-10- <br />
