South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - November 4, 1994
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
a. continued...
the affected property owners and registered
neighborhood associations and neighborhood
leaders; 5) A copy of Resolution No. 1293
which is the subject of the public hearing; 6)
As of 10:00 a.m. on November 4, 1994,
0 written remonstrances were received.
Ms. Auburn asked if there was any
objection to entering these items into the
record. There was no objection and the
items were so entered.
Mrs. Kolata explained that Resolution
No. 1293 adds a portion of one parcel of
property in the downtown area to the
SBCDA acquisition list. We do not intend
to acquire the building (Central High
School), but only the property around the
building in order to make public
improvements on that property and then to
lease it back to the owner of the building.
We originally intended to lease the land
from the owner, make the improvements,
then lease it back, but the attorneys prefer
we own the land to make improvements.
Ms. Auburn opened the Public Hearing for PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 1293
anyone who wished to speak. There was no
one who wished to speak. Ms. Auburn
closed the Public Hearing.
-7-
