NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />a. continued... <br />dedication and leadership that culminates <br />in meal, measurable progress, enriching <br />the life of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, Roman J Piasecki has <br />shown such leadership by honorably <br />serving as a Commissioner on the South <br />Bend Redevelopment Commission since <br />1982, attending 325 of the Commission's <br />343 meetings since that time; and <br />WHEREAS, during the tenure of his <br />service the quality of life of the residents <br />of South Bend has improved as a result <br />of the contributions of the time, <br />knowledge, good judgement, and <br />steadfast efforts of Roman J Piasecki; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Roman I Piasecki has <br />served as the Redevelopment <br />Commission's representative to the board <br />of directors of the Housing Development <br />Corporation; and <br />WHEREAS, Roman L Piasecki has <br />served as the Redevelopment <br />Commission's representative to the board <br />of directors of the Studebaker Museum; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the family of Roman J <br />Piasecki has been active in South Bend <br />community affairs for over 135 years; <br />-5- <br />
