NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />a. continued... <br />on August 5, 1994; 4) a memo from Ann <br />Kolata stating that on August 5, 1994, <br />she sent a copy of the notice of hearing <br />to affected property owners and <br />registered neighborhood organizations <br />and neighborhood leaders; 5) a copy of <br />Resolution No. 1283, the subject of the <br />Public Hearing; 6) as of 10:00 a.m. 0 <br />written remonstrances were received <br />concerning the public hearing. <br />Ms. Auburn asked if there was any <br />objection to entering these items into the <br />record. There was no objection and the <br />ILI items were so entered. <br />Mr. Hunt explained that Resolution <br />No. 1283 amends the Development Plan <br />for the Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />by adding two parcels to the acquisition <br />list. Based on a staff recommendation, <br />following review and study, it has been <br />determined that the parcels are needed to <br />continue and carry out the development <br />plan for the area. Mr. Hunt noted that <br />several months ago the Commission <br />removed the parcels from a list of <br />properties to be added to the acquisition <br />list and directed the staff to look at the <br />area in terms of development potential <br />and development projects. They asked <br />the staff to assess the situation and make <br />a recommendation to the Commission. <br />Based on the work done to date, the staff <br />suggested that the parcels in question do <br />need to be acquired to carry out the <br />-4- <br />
