G
South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - April 15, 1994
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
a. continued...
Golf Course, Blackthorn corporate sites, and
the Blackthorn Industrial Subdivision. This
is a housekeeping measure.
Mrs. Kolata noted that the property which
we wish to delete from the acquisition list is
1.0 acres located on Bendix Drive, owned
by Ray and Justine DeMaegt. It is identified
as Parcel J. At one time the staff sent a
purchase offer on the property, but has not
negotiated a sale. We are recommending
that the purchase offer be withdrawn and the
property deleted from the acquisition list.
Ms. Auburn opened the Public Hearing on
Resolution No. 1238.
Mr. Fedder: I think I understand what Mrs.
Kolata is doing. Are we anticipating that
this might come back on your calendar of
May 6?
Mrs. Kolata: No it wouldn't come in on
May 6 because I don't think we could meet
the notice requirements. But it would be
our intention, it has always been our
intention, that as the land in the planning
area for the Airport 2010 area is brought
into the city, the boundaries of the economic
development area would be expanded to
include that area. So I think it will come
back. I don't know that it'll be May 6 or
whatever, but ...
L -7-
MS. AUBURN OPENED THE PUBLIC
HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 1238
