Box 1932 • South Bend, IN 46624 -1932 r, <br />r s- <br />t, �a J <br />ti <br />Ann Kalada <br />Redevelopment Department <br />1200 City County Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Re: Michiana Chapter <br />Studebaker Drivers Club <br />Dear Ann; <br />In early January of this year I contacted you to request permission <br />to use a portion of property controlled by the Redevelopment <br />Department. <br />As I advised, each May, The Michiana Chapter of The Studebaker <br />Drivers Club sponsors a Swap Meet which is hosted by Newman & <br />Altman, Inc., 405 W. Sample St, in South Bend. In an attempt to <br />promote and perpetuate the Swap Meet we are adding a Car Show this <br />year. The show will be restricted to Studebaker and Packard <br />automobiles only. <br />We are requesting permission to use a portion of the property which <br />is located east. of LaFayet.te Street, (across the street from the <br />former Avanti building site) and north of Sample Street. You had <br />advised me in January that the property has been for sale and that <br />should permission be granted, there was risk the property could be <br />sold prior to the date we are requesting it's use. <br />Please find outlined below a summary of the information you <br />requested. <br />1. The date of the Car Show is Saturday, May 7, 1994. <br />2. The property will be used for displaying "Show Car Entrants" <br />for judging. Foot traffic from Car Show participants and the <br />general public will be expected on the property. <br />3. The Michaian Chapter of The Studebaker Drivers Club will <br />provide you with an Insurance Certificate from our <br />International Club for the day of the Car Show. <br />. »E <br />
