Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1197 recog�in J <br />Hunt for distinguished service to the City of <br />South Bend, the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission and the Department of <br />Community and Economic Development. <br />Ms. Auburn noted that Jon Hunt has <br />received a very prestigious, state -wide <br />award: the Ivan H. Brinegar Municipal <br />Management Award. The Commission <br />would like to recognize Jon by resolution for <br />his distinguished service. Ms. Auburn read <br />Resolution No. 1197 aloud. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />RECOGNIZING JON R. HUNT FOR <br />DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY <br />AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />WHEREAS, Jon R. Hunt has been an <br />employee of the City of South Bend since <br />1975 and in his eighteen years of public <br />service has served as Community <br />Development Planner, Director of <br />Community Development, Administrative <br />Assistant to the Mayor, Redevelopment <br />Director and Executive Director of <br />Community and Economic Development; and <br />WHEREAS, Jon has been and continues to <br />be a quiet, driving force behind a number of <br />innovative projects in South Bend that have <br />been years ahead of their time and are now <br />-4- <br />
