NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />k. continued... <br />property in the West Washington - Chapin <br />Development Area by Eminent Domain <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that Resolution No. <br />1187 sets the Commission approved market <br />price for several pieces of property in the <br />West Washington - Chapin Development <br />Area. The seven properties are along <br />Chapin Street. All but one of the properties <br />is vacant land. The other is a commercial <br />structure. The price is based on the two <br />appraisals which were received for the <br />properties. Following approval the staff will <br />send purchase offers for the properties. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded <br />by Mr. Faccenda and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved Resolution No. <br />1187 related to acquisition of property in the <br />West Washington - Chapin Development Area <br />by Eminent Domain. <br />Commission appointment of members to the <br />Joint Committee to oversee the manage <br />and operation of Blackthorn Golf Course. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that part of the <br />agreement with the Airport Authority when <br />they gave us land for the golf course was <br />that we would establish a committee to <br />oversee management and operation of the <br />golf course. The committee is to be made <br />up of six people: two from the <br />Redevelopment Commission, two from the <br />Airport Authority, the Director of Economic <br />Development and the Director of Michiana <br />Regional Airport. There are scheduled <br />meeting times, one of which is to approve <br />the annual audit.
