I realize he <br />didn't have much time, but if you could spend <br />just a minute or two on what will happen in <br />that area. <br />MRS. KOLATA: I think that's part of the <br />planning process with the neighborhood. <br />Very definitely. <br />MR. HUNT: We need to spend time with <br />the Rum Village Neighborhood Association. <br />MR. COLLIER: You already designated <br />those areas in the Southeast and I thought <br />perhaps that had been designated there also. <br />MR. HUNT: If you get out there and look, <br />it's really chopped up. There are some <br />residential pockets in there that are good, <br />some that are bad. There are some that are <br />commercial and heavy industrial. There are <br />stub -end streets because they are crossed by <br />the rail. It's going to be one of the tougher <br />areas to develop a good plan for in terms of <br />land use, so we need to get out with the <br />neighborhood association. <br />MRS. KOLATA: And there are a fair <br />amount of vacant lots as well. There are, <br />obviously, what once were housing units that <br />have been torn down. But it's of a different <br />character north of Indiana than it is in the <br />main portion of the residential area south of <br />Indiana. I think what we did in terms of <br />designating that as a sector was to recognize <br />that its character was different, but not say <br />-37- <br />
