South Bend edevelopnent Commission <br />Regular Meeting - January 25, 1991 <br />RP <br />a. <br />Mrs Kolata asked that the following <br />items be entered into the record: <br />1) An original of the "Notice of Hearing <br />on lmwrbient to the South Bend Central <br />Dev (dcpment Area Development Plan;" <br />2.) An affidavit of Carol Smith, <br />Classified Manager of the South Bend <br />Tr' une, that the Notice of Hearing was <br />published in that daily newspaper on <br />January 11, 1991; 3.) An affidavit of <br />Cherie Jolly, managing editor of the <br />Tri ty News, that the Notice of <br />Hearing was published in that weekly <br />newspaper on January 11, 1991; 4.) A memo <br />from Cleo Hickey stating that on January <br />9, 3991, she sent a copy of the Notice of <br />HeaTing to the affected property owner <br />and registered neighborhood association. <br />5.) A copy of Resolution No. 974 which is <br />the subject of the public hearing; 6.) <br />As f 10:00 a.m. on January 25, 1991, 0 <br />written remonstrances were received. <br />Ms. Auburn asked if there were any <br />objections to entering these items into <br />the public record. There were no <br />objections and the items were so entered. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that the amendment <br />to the plan adds one parcel of property <br />to the acquisition list of the South Bend <br />Central Development Area Development <br />Plan. The parcel is titled "part of <br />C27-7.11 The owner is Jane A. Anderson. <br />The ccumon name of the property is the <br />Colfax Theater. It is re camvnded for <br />acquisition because it is a blighted <br />structure and an inhibiting factor to <br />dev opment on that block.
