NEW BUSnNESS (Cont.) <br />a. comtinuea... <br />Studebaker Corridor Development Area. <br />The purpose of the committee is to <br />assure that, as new developments occur, <br />they meet a desired level of design and <br />qLutlity. We are asking that this review <br />be part of the responsibilities of the <br />present Design Review Cm ittee for the <br />South Bend Central Development Area <br />ch was established by the <br />Redevelopiient Commission and the South <br />BeixI Com mn Council. We have filed an <br />oxxUxiance with the Co mnon Council to <br />the committee from seven to nine <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that we will <br />be bringing Design Guidelines for the <br />Studebaker Corridor before the <br />Coibmission at a future date. <br />Mr. Nimtz opened the Public Hearing for <br />an one who desired to be heard regarding <br />SListitute Resolution No. 937. <br />George Herendeen: I am here on behalf <br />of Policemen's Federal Credit Union. I <br />have presented to you, pursuant to the <br />notice that was given, a letter of <br />remonstrance in which I have included <br />eleven items (a copy of the letter is <br />attached to these minutes). I will not <br />dwell at any length on them because of <br />the number of folks here. The concern <br />of the Policemen's Federal Credit Union <br />is this: First of all, we are not <br />op to the Studebaker Corridor <br />Dorelopment. Our concern is that only a <br />couple of years ago, in 1986, when we <br />decided to relocate and expand our <br />business, we, very honestly, came to you <br />fo Jcs and told you what we were <br />in erested in doing and sought your <br />co)peration and assistance, in even site <br />se-ection. As you know, the Policemen's <br />Fe teral Credit Union building is really <br />the only new, improved, parcel in the <br />Corridor, at least the major portion of <br />the Corridor.
