South Bend evelopment Commission
Rescheduled filar Meeting - June 27, 1990
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
a. comtinuea...
irAividual basis with everyone who is
living in the area as well as the
businesses in the area. So, I can't
give you an exact timetable, but it
cotild be as soon as two and one half to
thtee weeks from now.
z Dailey: May I follow up on this,
ase? A couple of years ago, were
se properties already appraised?
Mr-s. Kolata: They were appraised early
last year, I believe. We have gone back
to the appraisers and asked them to
re ook at their numbers. That's another
thing that we are having done now. So,
yes, we have appraisals on all of this
p perty. We have asked them to
re-examine the numbers and make sure
they are still valid before we send an
offer.
Mr Dailey: Was anything given out to
th property owners about the value the
Ci had stated on it?
. Kolata: No.
Mrs Dailey: What was the reason for
. Kolata: Because until the
mission authorizes a purchase offer,
value has not been set.
Mr Dailey: So we're sitting in limbo
saying here, "We do not know 'X' number
of dollars your property will bring."
. Kolata: Correct.
Mr Dailey: Thank you.
Mr. Piasecki: I think this gentleman's
concern might be with Code Enforcement.
A condition that needs repair.
-12-
